Description
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220 with a size standard of $36.5M. The approximate solicitation issue date will be 3 September 2018 with an approximate response date of 1 October 2018. The project magnitude is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be eligible for award. Information concerning SAM registered requirements may be viewed via the website at https://www.sam.gov/portal/SAM/ or by calling the Federal Service Desk at 1-866-606-8220. The solicitation will be made available on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website at http://www.fbo.gov. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to view FedBizOpps frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. This requirement consists of, but is not limited to the following job description: DOOR POCKETS A. A professional engineer is to provide plans for the demolition of the hanger door pockets and closing in the openings. B. Demolish door pockets, piers and foundations to full depth for two outer door pocket columns on each side of building. C. As applicable, construct footers, frame openings, and install siding and insulation where door pockets were demolished. Note: the contractor shall provide a phasing and weather protection plan for the above work. EXTERIOR PAVEMENT AND DRAINAGE A. Connect all building and canopy downspouts to the underground storm drainage system. B. Replace pavement on the West side of the building, between B793 and B792. Provide positive drainage (2% minimum slope measured perpendicular to building) away from the buildings by altering the slope of the surrounding pavement and installing new catch basin(s) as required. A minimum of 8" of graded aggregate base course (GAB) and 2" of Type B and 2" of Type C asphalt will be permitted for pavement replacement. Pavement at buildings not to be higher in elevation than existing concrete pavement. C. Remove steel hanger door tracks on South side of building. Replace pavement on South side of building approximately 24' off building to expansion joint to provide positive drainage (2% minimum slope measured perpendicular to building) away from the buildings by altering the slope of the surrounding pavement and installing new catch basin(s) as required. This shall extend from the canopy on the East side to the East side of existing B792 door pocket. A minimum of 8" of GAB and 2" of Type B and 2" of Type C asphalt will be permitted for pavement replacement. Pavement at buildings not to be higher in elevation than existing concrete pavement. Route surface of expansion joint and seal expansion joint. INTERIOR A. Remove utilities, wainscot, wall insulation, and lower girts as necessary to demo all concrete curb around the perimeter of the building. B. Replace or straighten any bent steel girts. C. Replace girts, at an elevation above new curb insulation and wainscot panels after concrete curb replacement. D. Paint wainscot panels. E. Fill hanger door track with concrete and install epoxy floor over this area matching existing as closely as possible. F. Remove and reinstall electrical equipment as necessary in support of project work. EXTERIOR A. Remove existing siding, downspouts and other utilities as necessary to demo all concrete curb around the perimeter of the building. B. Demolish all concrete curb around the perimeter of the building. C. Install new reinforced concrete curb to a minimum of 8" above exterior ground surface on any face of the building. A water-stop is to be installed in the interface between the new curb and existing concrete slab to prevent water infiltration. D. Replace flashing and siding around the perimeter of the building. Note: the contractor shall provide a phasing and weather protection plan for the above work.
